Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) is a new type of technology for producing enriched oxygen from air.
VPSA oxygen generation equipment is powered by electricity and air is the raw material. The main components of the air is nitrogen, oxygen and some other less gas and impurities, room temperature air nitrogen and oxygen in the zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS) on the adsorption performance is different (oxygen can be through the nitrogen adsorption), the design of the appropriate process, and make the separation of nitrogen and oxygen to produce oxygen.
Nitrogen adsorption capacity on the zeolite sieve is stronger than that of oxygen (nitrogen and molecular sieve surface ions have a strong force), when the air under pressure through the zeolite molecular sieve adsorbent adsorbent bed, nitrogen, water vapor, carbon dioxide, etc. are adsorbed by the molecular sieve, oxygen due to the adsorption of less, the gas phase is enriched and out of the adsorbent bed, so that the separation of oxygen and nitrogen to obtain oxygen. When the molecular sieve adsorption of nitrogen to near saturation, stop the air and reduce the pressure of the adsorption bed, the molecular sieve adsorption of nitrogen can be desorbed out of the molecular sieve regeneration and can be reused. The molecular sieve is regenerated and can be reused. When more than two adsorption beds are switched in turn, oxygen can be produced continuously. Oxygen and argon are close in polarity, and it is difficult to separate the two, so the VPSA oxygen plant can only obtain oxygen with a concentration of 90-95% (the limiting concentration of oxygen is 96%), which is also known as enriched oxygen.
The oxygen production process of VPSA oxygen generating equipment is physical adsorption process, no chemical reaction, no environmental pollution, it is a kind of oxygen supply method with strong applicability.
